Title:
“From the Sacred to the Profane.
From religious ritual to addictive behaviour.
Is wine the ‘Nectar of the gods’ or ‘cup of devils’?
The lost art of Mindful Drinking”.
In my final piece I am expressing hidden insights into the social aspect of drinking from an outsider view “me” with its present day ritual with the connection to the religious Christian Catholic past.
The modern ritual can be compared to a tunnel which I built with barbed wire incorporating wine soaked sheets of paper.
The writing on the papers expresses a dark humour in which I used words “bibite meum sanguinem” (drink my blood) to emphasize how words in religion can be misinterpreted.
